Numbers as of 2026-11-06: written before snapshots were stored, so its window and n are not recorded. The live metagame is since the 2026-10-12 banlist took effect (2026-10-12 to 2026-11-06), n=855 players in 41 events, and may differ from the figures below.
Overview
Shirahoshi (OP11-022) is a Green/Yellow leader from OP11 (Age of Colosseum), representing the giant mermaid princess of Fish-Man Island. In the current post-banlist meta (since October 12, 2026), Shirahoshi holds a 2.0% meta share — 17 of 855 tracked Limitless tournament players — with a 53.1% tournament win rate (34W–30L across 64 non-mirror matches). The ranked ladder (optcg.one) shows a 42.1% overall ladder win rate across 508 games, reflecting the deck's stronger performance in organized paper play than on the online ladder.
The key number for deckbuilding decisions: Shirahoshi wins more often going 2nd (44.9%, 102W–125L) than going 1st (39.9%, 112W–169L) — the extra draw from going second fuels the mid-to-late-game Neptunian chain. Three top-cut lists exist in the current banlist window, all from ChinoizeCup events, with a median list cost of $47 (range $39–$53). This is one of the most budget-friendly 2%+ meta decks available.
How the deck works
Shirahoshi OP11-022's Green/Yellow combination accesses both the Fish-Man Island Neptunian package from OP11 and the EB04 reprints that made the archetype tournament-viable. The strategy is a mid-range control plan: deploy a chain of sea creatures from 4–7 cost, back them with Shirahoshi (OP12-102 and EB03-052) as recurring support pieces, and close games with Shanks (OP17-022) as a 10-cost 12000-power finisher.
Ancient Weapon Poseidon (OP11-037, 1c) anchors the opening turns. As one of the game's Ancient Weapons, it provides early-game board presence and DON!! management. The deck runs 4 copies in every tracked list, confirming it as a core piece rather than a flex slot.
Megalo (EB04-018, 4c, 4000 power) is Shirahoshi's giant shark companion from the manga — and the deck's most expensive single card at ~$4.76 each. Its on-play effect generates board advantage in the midgame, enabling the Neptunian curve to outpace opposing threats from Xebec's 5c Banish clock through the mid-game window.
The Neptunian creature suite — Spotted Neptunian (4c 5000), Bird Neptunian (5c 7000, two versions), Topknot Neptunian (5c 6000), Scaled Neptunian (7c 8000) — provides dense, incrementally scaling bodies. Shirahoshi builds board width faster than she builds individual threat size, which creates effective counters to Xebec's single-target removal while presenting multiple attackers simultaneously.
Shanks (OP17-022, 10c, 12000 power) closes games the Neptunian engine has extended. At $3.34 per copy (3 in the consensus list), it is the second-largest cost driver in the deck. Its Red Hair Pirates trigger and raw power level threaten lethal when the opponent's life total has been chipped by the creature swarm. Sweet 3 Generals (OP17-114, 6c counter event) supports the board and protects Shanks through the final turns.

Consensus decklist (3 top-cut lists)
The consensus build — constructed from 3 top-cut lists (ChinoizeCup, October 2026) at their modal card counts — runs 50 cards:
4× Ancient Weapon Poseidon (OP11-037) · 2× You're Just Not My Type! (OP11-115) · 3× Shirahoshi (OP12-102) · 3× Shirahoshi (EB03-052) · 2× Lord of the Coast (OP11-028) · 4× Megalo (EB04-018) · 4× Spotted Neptunian (OP11-036) · 4× Bird Neptunian (EB04-016) · 4× Topknot Neptunian (OP11-107) · 4× Bird Neptunian (OP11-033) · 3× Sweet 3 Generals (OP17-114) · 4× Scaled Neptunian (EB04-011) · 3× Shanks (OP17-022) · 1× Leader: Shirahoshi (OP11-022)
The 3rd-place ChinoizeCup #125 list (kevyzhou) also runs 2× OP08-036 as a flex slot, suggesting room for personal preference in the final 2–4 cards.
Matchup context
With only 64 non-mirror tournament matches tracked and no single matchup clearing the 20-game threshold for a reliable sample, specific matchup win rates are not available from tournament data. The ladder record (214W–294L overall, 42.1%) provides the broader picture: Shirahoshi is a deck that over-performs in organized tournament play relative to online ranked ladder, likely due to its complexity and the value of reading opponents across multiple life-trade decisions.
- vs Rocks.D.Xebec OP17-039 (16.6% meta, top deck): The Neptunian swarm creates multiple blockers that complicate Xebec's Banish targeting. The wide board prevents Xebec from clearing efficiently, though Xebec's overall speed remains a threat if Shirahoshi stumbles on her curve.
- vs Monkey.D.Luffy OP13-001 (8.5% meta): Luffy's Red/Green speed is the toughest matchup profile for any control deck — the Straw Hat DON!! ramp outpaces Shirahoshi's setup window in games where Luffy draws well.
- vs Sabo OP13-004 (7.3% meta): Shirahoshi's body density absorbs Sabo's fire disruption better than glass-cannon strategies. The multiple Neptunian targets give Sabo fewer high-value spots to discard to.
- Going 2nd advantage: The extra draw card from going 2nd is especially valuable here — Shirahoshi's curve needs to chain Neptunians smoothly, and the extra card meaningfully increases consistency versus going 1st (44.9% vs 39.9%).

Is this deck worth building?
At $39–53 for a competitive list, Shirahoshi is one of the most accessible 2%+ meta options. The only expensive card is Megalo (EB04-018, ~$19 for 4 copies); every other card in the consensus list costs under $1.50 each. Players on a strict budget can test the shell at $33–$40 by cutting to 3 copies of Megalo and 2 copies of Shanks.
The honest assessment: 53.1% tournament win rate with a positive record (34W–30L) is a real competitive result, not a sample-size anomaly. The deck rewards knowing when to trade life for tempo, since the going-2nd data strongly suggests the deck wants to be on the back foot early. Players who enjoy tribal control — building board presence steadily before closing with a single oversized threat — will find the Neptunian engine satisfying and the budget price point an easy entry.
