Overview
Donquixote Rosinante (OP12-061), known as Corazon, is a Blue leader from the Navy. In the current OP17 post-banlist meta (35 events, 822 registered players since the October 12, 2026 banlist), Rosinante sits at 4.7% meta share (39 of 822 players) with a 49.7% non-mirror win rate (87-88-1, 176 matches). His ladder win rate across all recorded games is 50.1% (425-423 on optcg.one), reflecting a consistent balanced performer in both competitive and casual play.
Rosinante is one of One Piece's most emotionally resonant characters — Doflamingo's younger brother, a secret Navy agent, and the man who gave Trafalgar Law a reason to live. His OP12 card incarnation is a Blue leader built around protecting a low-cost hand and deploying Trafalgar Law synergies. The deck rewards careful play and hand management, running four different Trafalgar Law prints that all interact with the leader's draw-and-filter gameplan. It is one of the few current leaders that uses the multi-copy Law package as a true engine rather than a single staple.
How Rosinante wins
Rosinante (OP12-061) is a 4 DON!! cost Blue leader with 5000 attack. His leader ability reads: once per turn, when you play a Trafalgar Law character from your hand, you may draw 1 card then trash 1 card. The cumulative effect of this filter ability over a full game is significant — every Law played refills the hand, and the trash outlet lets Rosinante dig through his deck faster than any other control leader in the format.
The deck's core is the multi-Law package. Trafalgar Law P-088 (the CS 2026-27 Event Pack promo) is a 5-cost character with an on-play effect that searches the deck for any Trafalgar Law card, chaining directly into the leader's draw trigger. Trafalgar Law P-093 is the Illustration Box promo, a low-cost piece that extends the trigger chain. Rosinante & Law EB04-038 is the key support card — a 4-cost character that generates a Trafalgar Law token when played, immediately triggering Rosinante's draw ability. These three pieces allow the deck to draw 2-3 extra cards in a single turn while advancing the board.
The control shell is built around Navy power pieces. Borsalino EB04-058 is the deck's dominant midrange threat — a high-power character with an effect that removes opposing characters. Sakazuki OP16-065 provides low-cost removal. Marineford OP16-078 is the key stage, adding 1000 power to all Navy characters while in play. I Love You!! OP12-115 is a Blue event that searches for a Rosinante or Law character, further enabling the engine. The result is a deck that filters aggressively in the first four turns and then deploys Borsalino to close out the game.

Counts from 8 top-cut decklists. Market prices from TCGplayer via TCGCSV, updated daily. The P-088 Law promo ($45.64) and Borsalino ($37.49) are the two largest investments; Mamaragan ($25.31) is a cross-format staple that reduces the marginal cost for players already in Purple.
Matchup context
Rosinante's matchup spread is shaped by his draw-filter identity. He handles aggressive leaders that need blockers committed early, and closes cleanly against fragile board states. Control strategies that can generate hand advantage faster than the Law engine can filter expose the deck's core weakness.
- vs Monkey.D.Luffy OP17-079 (Black): 80% win rate (4-1-1, 6 matches — small sample). The Elbaph Black deck commits large blockers on both sides; Rosinante's removal via Borsalino and Sakazuki clears the path while the Law engine keeps the hand full.
- vs Boa Hancock OP14-041 (Blue/Yellow): 64% win rate (7-4, 11 matches). Hancock's control tools are effective but slower than the Law engine. Rosinante pulls ahead in the mid game when multiple Law triggers fire in the same turn.
- vs Kaido OP17-058 (Purple): 56% win rate (5-4, 9 matches). Kaido's large blockers are a natural test for the deck, but Marineford's power boost and Borsalino's removal keep the board manageable.
- vs Sabo OP13-004 (Red/Black): 33% win rate (5-10, 15 matches). Sabo's Red/Black aggro package generates threats faster than Rosinante can filter and respond. The matchup is a consistent challenge and the deck's clearest weak spot.
- vs Shirahoshi OP11-022 (Green/Yellow): 0% win rate (0-5, 5 matches — small sample). Shirahoshi's Green/Yellow control shell generates advantage faster than the Law engine and neutralises the removal package.

Is Rosinante worth building?
The largest cost in a Rosinante list is the P-088 Trafalgar Law promo at $45.64 per copy — four copies runs approximately $183. Borsalino EB04-058 adds another $150 at four copies ($37.49 each). Mamaragan OP15-078 is a shared staple with Purple lists at $25.31 per copy. A full competitive list typically falls in the $280–$320 range at market, mid-high tier by current OPTCG standards.
The P-088 Law promo is the deck's key barrier — it drives both the search chain and the draw trigger, and no clean substitute currently exists for it in the 100% inclusion slot. Players who already own Borsalino (run in multiple Blue control builds) or Mamaragan (Purple staple) reduce their entry cost significantly. The ST10-010 Law Trophy Rare at $10.13 is a flex piece that some builds run at 2-3 copies, adding a secondary Rosinante trigger engine for a moderate price.
For players who enjoy draw-filter control archetypes and the Corazon/Law lore, Rosinante is one of the most rewarding builds in the current meta. At 4.7% play rate and 49.7% win rate, the deck is a solid Tier 2 choice that benefits from low opponent meta-read preparation.
