Numbers as of 2026-11-06: written before snapshots were stored, so its window and n are not recorded. The live metagame is since the 2026-10-12 banlist took effect (2026-10-12 to 2026-11-06), n=855 players in 41 events, and may differ from the figures below.

Overview

Nico Robin (OP09-062) is a Purple/Yellow leader from OP09 (Wings of Captain). In the current post-banlist meta (since October 12, 2026), Robin holds a 1.2% meta share in Limitless tournament data with a 28.9% win rate across 38 tracked matches. The more striking number comes from the ranked ladder (optcg.one): 66.7% win rate (28W–14L), indicating the archetype performs significantly better in online ladder formats than in organized paper play. Across all recorded tournament lists since the OP17 release, the deck has 44 appearances including 5 first-place finishes.

The archetype's core insight: Nico Robin OP09-062 is the shell for a Big Mom Pirates package that became viable with OP17 (The World's Strongest Warriors). The Charlotte family — Linlin, Pudding, Daifuku, Oven, Smoothie, Brûlée, Streusen — provides a dense, synergistic curve. Marshall D. Teach (OP16-119) and Borsalino (EB04-058) serve as high-cost finishers that close games the Charlotte engine has stabilized. The deck is consistent and character-rich, though its paper tournament conversion has been lower than its ladder numbers suggest.

How the deck works

Nico Robin OP09-062's Purple/Yellow combination lets her access both the Charlotte Big Mom Pirates package and high-cost power characters from across the game. The Charlotte crew from OP17 gives the deck repeatable on-play effects across a wide range of cost slots, with Charlotte Linlin (OP17-112) as the top-end win condition. The deck's curve runs efficiently through the Charlotte family, with Charlotte Brûlée (ST34-003) as a low-cost setup piece and Charlotte Pudding (OP17-109) providing mid-game scry and card selection.

Marshall D. Teach (OP16-119, $25.54) is the premier finisher — a game-defining character that swings the board state when played off a stabilized board. Borsalino/Kizaru (EB04-058, $36.74) adds the secondary high-cost threat: the Marine Admiral's on-play effect generates card advantage and the body closes out games that the Charlotte engine has extended. These two cards account for the majority of the deck's cost.

Gum-Gum Giant (OP09-078, $1.29) is played at four copies in every list as the event counter package — it protects Charlotte Linlin and other key characters through the mid-game. Sweet 3 Generals (OP17-114) supports the board as a wide trigger event at minimal cost.

The highest-placing list (1st place, Flame Flame Fruit Coliseum NA Block B, September 20, 2026) runs:

2× Borsalino (EB04-058) · 1× Marshall D. Matchup context

Ladder data (optcg.one, all recorded games) gives the most reliable matchup picture for a deck with limited tournament matches. OP09-062 Robin's overall ladder record of 28W–14L (66.7%) exceeds the field average, but matchup performance varies significantly by opponent.

See the Nico Robin OP09-062 (Purple/Yellow) for full matchup tables and the metagame overview for standings.

Is this deck worth building?

At roughly $225–$240, the deck falls in the mid-to-high range. The most expensive pieces — Borsalino ($36.74 each) and Marshall D. Teach ($25.54) — are shared with other Purple/Black strategies, so players already owning those cards can build in at a lower entry cost. The Charlotte crew cards from OP17 are budget-friendly (all under $2.50 per copy).

The honest assessment: ladder performance (66.7%) is strong, but paper tournament conversion has been modest (28.9% in the current banlist window, small sample). Players targeting local tournament play should treat this as a developing archetype. Players who prefer ladder or casual formats will find the Charlotte crew engine satisfying and the deck's big-character plan rewarding.
